Match Eyewear signs license for Danny Gokey Eyewear CollectionMINEOLA, N.Y. -- Match Eyewear has signed a licensing deal with Danny Gokey, the country/pop artist and philanthropist, for the distribution of prescription eyewear with an "edge.""We are excited to establish a partnership with Danny," stated Ethan Goodman, president of Match Eyewear. "It has been fun developing this collection with Danny and it's refreshing to work with an artist with so much passion for eyewear."According to Match Eyewear, the collaboration between the company and Gokey began in 2010 and the Danny Gokey Eyewear collection will further diversify their brand assortment, which includes Adrienne Vittadini, Helium Paris, Float Milan, Float Kids, Aero by Float and Match Eyewear, by "delivering trend-setting designs influenced by Danny's sense of style and personal brand of music." "It has been a dream of mine to create my own brand of fashion frames" added Gokey. "I have been impressed with Match Eyewears designs and quality and see them as the perfect partner." Gokey has developed a strong knowledge of the optical industry over the past two years through an ongoing marketing agreement with Wisconsin Vision, a regional retail chain based in his hometown of Milwaukee. That marketing partnership will continue, the companies said. The new collection will highlight Gokey's "personal flair" with 12 initial styles for men aged 18 to 35, set for launch in March 2012. He will be making a special appearance at Vision Expo East 2012 in New York to premiere the collection, as well as sign autographs and pose for photos at the Match Eyewear booth. Best known for his third place finish on season eight of American Idol, Gokey's music helps bring attention to his philanthropic organization, Sophia's Heart, which helps children in need. He most recently toured with Grammy Award winning artist Taylor Swift and in February 2012, the Danny Gokey 2nd Annual Cruise to benefit Sophia's Heart will sail to Cozumel, Mexico and Key West, Fla. with Gary LeVox, lead singer of Rascal Flatts as a special guest.---------------------------Adrienne Vittadini Press Release >

Match Eyewear Signs License for Adrienne Vittadini
October 15, 2009 12:18 AMMINEOLA, N.Y.--Match Eyewear and Adrienne Vittadini, LLC have announced the signing of the Adrienne Vittadini license for distribution of sun and prescription eyewear. The new agreement is effective Jan. 1, 2010 and runs for seven years. The license includes the brands Vittadini and Adrienne Vittadini, the company said."All of us at Match Eyewear are excited to have acquired a fashion license with so much potential," said Ethan Goodman, president of Match Eyewear, "We will be redesigning the Adrienne Vittadini collection to better reflect Vittadinis luxurious upscale 'Forever 30' image."A multimillion dollar retail business, the Adrienne Vittadini brand has been a proven leader in the luxury sportswear market. Purchased in 2006 by the Schottenstein Luxury Group, Adrienne Vittadini is being reintroduced in all retail categories from ready-to wear, accessories, shoes, handbags, and more. With the acquisition of Adrienne Vittadini, we have enhanced our brand portfolio with a prestigious fashion license. This is an exciting evolution for the company."Match Eyewear will release Adrienne Vittadini Eyewear as its core collection in February 2010. The initial launch of the Adrienne Vittadini collection will consist of 24 optical with six sun styles followed by regular infusions of new styles throughout the year beginning at Vision Expo East in March 2010.
